The first step is to schedule a visit with our Nurse Practitioner, who will review your health history as well as draw a blood panel to help develop a comprehensive treatment plan.

How does Semaglutide for Weight Loss Work?
Semaglutide is a drug class called GLP-1 agonists that are used to control blood sugar and can be taken to assist in weight loss. It works by:
- Slowing down how fast your stomach empties food.
- Blocking hormones that cause the liver to release sugar, thus helping control sugar
Together, these combined actions cause the feeling of hunger to decrease which leads to decreased appetite and weight loss. Patients taking semaglutide to lose weight saw significant weight loss, an average of 15% body weight after 1 year.
